Titus and Lesli provide services for marriage retreats, parent training, teacher in-service, and trauma-responsive care workshops for adoptive and foster parents.

  • What are the advantages of doing an intensive retreat rather than traditional counseling?

An intensive retreat is equivalent to 3-6 months of weekly or bi-weekly therapeutic care. Intensives allow the therapeutic work to continue without interruption and the potential buildup of other harmful interactions and conflict. The goal is to provide a strong foundation for real relational transformation.

Since we provide accommodation, meals, and hospitality, the demanding stresses of daily life are reduced. This allows more energy to be used for healing work. An added benefit is the personal interactions that happen naturally in a retreat-like setting. Meals, free time, and evenings provide space for family connection and contemplation.

Intensive retreats also offer real-time support as we observe family interactions or challenging behaviors that will not likely occur in an office setting. This allows families to work through challenges together with experienced guides.
